Requirements:
- Proficient in English
- Flexible availability for various shifts
- Previous relevant experience in a similar environment is advantageous
- Basic computer literacy
- Demonstrates self-discipline in attendance, dress code, hygiene, and time-keeping
Responsibilities:
- Greet, smile, and acknowledge customers
- Maintain a friendly and helpful attitude while serving customers
- Offer available services such as utility bill payments and airtime
- Address customer needs and expectations by providing options and advice
- Suggest alternatives if a product is unavailable
- Process till transactions efficiently and in accordance with policies
- Scan and pack items at till points, checking payments for irregularities
- Understand and promote different payment methods
- Maintain cold chain and hygiene standards while replenishing stock on the sales floor
- Ensure stockroom inventory is represented on the sales floor
- Demonstrate product knowledge by highlighting features and benefits
- Provide appropriate product advice based on customer lifestyle and segmentation
- Maintain a hygienic, safe, and well-organized till point
- Report dishonest acts related to shrinkage and fraud to the line manager or shrinkage hotline
- Report suspicious individuals to security or management
- Minimize shrinkage by adhering to corporate store disciplines
- Apply red flag processes when necessary
- Stay aware of suspicious activity in the assigned area
