Job Purpose
The Department of Agriculture, Western Cape Government has an opportunity for a competent individual to provide registry services. This post is stationed in Elsenburg.
Minimum Requirements
Grade 12 (Senior Certificate or equivalent qualification).
Recommendation
Relevant experience.
Key Performance Areas
Manage and retrieval of Information and safekeeping of records both paper-based and electronic; Sorting of incoming mail; Maintenance of the filing system; Sorting and sending of incoming and outgoing courier parcels.
Competencies
A good understanding of the following: Registry duties, practices and operate computer; Legislative framework governing the Public Service; Storage and retrieval procedures in terms of the working environment; Understanding of the work in registry; Skills in the following: Proven computer literacy; Planning and organisation; Written and verbal communication; Interpersonal relations; Flexibility; Teamwork.
Remuneration
R 176 310 per annum (Salary Level 5)

Notes
Applicants should be made aware in the advertisement that the post is stationed at Elsenburg (a farm roughly 12km’s from Stellenbosch) and that there is not public transport available. Transport between work and home is the responsibility of the employees. Due to the nature of the work this is not a work-from-home position and the successful candidate will be expected to physically attend work 6 days a week.
