Western Cape Government Department of Infrastructure-Administration Clerk
The Department of Infrastructure, Western Cape Government, offers an exciting opportunity for a suitably qualified and competent individual to provide administrative support to the Directorate: Education Infrastructure. This position is based in Cape Town, CBD.
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12 (Senior Certificate or equivalent qualification).
Recommendation:
- Relevant experience.
Key Performance Areas:
- Provide administrative and reception assistance to professional staff regarding filing, GG transport, telephone accounts, and invoices.
- Assist with the ordering and issuing of stationery.
- Processing of payments.
- Compiling of claims.
- Assist with the copying, filing, faxing, and scanning of documentation within the component.
- Draft and type submissions, default letters, arrange meetings and agendas, take minutes, and handle general correspondence.
- Data capturing.
- Relief as secretary.
- Coordination of training requirements.
- Making travel arrangements.
Competencies: Western Cape Government
- Good understanding of Administration rules and regulations.
- Computer literacy (MS Offices).
- Departmental information systems (BAS, BIZ Project, MyContent, SITS).
- Skills in verbal and written communication.
- Organizational and record-keeping abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Able to work individually and in a team environment.
- Good telephone etiquette.
Remuneration: R 202 233 per annum (Salary Level 5)
